In this exercise
you will be listing what you believe are your strengths and weaknesses, and then we’ll open a dialogue with others on
your team for their perspective and open feedback.
This process may create some rather difficult and challenging emotions for you.
At first you may be shocked, “I can’t believe it. I’m hurt.”
Then you may grow a bit angry, “How can they say that?” So what we will work on immediately
is your resistance, “I don’t need to change.” and develop within you a state of reflection,
“Maybe I could improve.”

How You Rate Yourself

Low | Possible Strength | Soft Spot |

Ultimately, this is only successful when y ou are accepting,
“Okay, I need to improve.” and you are open to the change,
“Hey, I get it. Tell me more.”
Seeing this process as an improvement in your leadership skills, professionalism
and life, “It was painful, but worth it.” you will see the benefit of building a lifetime habit of continuous
learning, “What else can I improve?”
From this point of self-realization,
we can create an action plan to use your strengths and improve your weaknesses.
Remember, because you’re their
leader, others may be hesitant to provide honest feedback if any at all and it is up to you to set the example and set your
expectations of their honesty as being the only way you can improve your relationship with them.
