Personal evolution is distinct from personal development. When we evolve, we alter our being [think caveman to humans today]. When we develop, we become more of who you are. Both are excellent approaches to a rich and fulfilling life, but they are different enough that I, as your coach, will know which is occurring with you.

In our coaching sections we will be working on both. As a professional healthcare executive, we will define how you plan to continue to develop your skills, but as a person working towards a Vision of the future we need to also define a process where you can evolve – both of these together is where I get the concept of Evolveyourself.

Here’s what I’ll be doing to help you to evolve yourself.

I will be sharing with you the resources (regularly updated and encouraging you to share yours with me) I use to continuously surround myself with new ideas instead of recycling my old beliefs about the World. You see, beliefs can limit our ability to experience life as it unfolds. We should seek out chaos whenever exposed to it. The unexpected is necessary for our survival in a rapidly changing world – especially in healthcare. We can expect huge changes in the way health services are financed and how we, as healthcare professionals, we interact with our patients as they become more consumer oriented purchasers.

Let your environment do most of your evolutionary work for you. Evolution occurs as we respond to the stimuli of diverse environments. We can then use our abilities to tolerate change to evolve how we execute our lives both at home and work. Every situation we encounter is an opportunity waiting to be leveraged.

Constantly experiment until you do so naturally and effortlessly. You may need to alter your relationship with risk in order to enjoy experimentation.

Spend more time in nature:
Nature nourishes and calibrates our natural systems is allows us to interact with other creatures that God has made.

Become the host of a thriving network:
Let your network evolve as you invent clever ways to serve them.

Continuously integrate all aspects of your life:
Integration evolves you from being needlessly complicated to being richly complex.

Life is becoming more virtual:
Invest in your virtual environments, not just your physical environments.

Actively choose and design your sources of energy:
You can then operate at a higher, more effective frequency.

Become superconductive:
Reduce the energy you consume by 90 percent by reducing your resistance to yourself, life, and events.

Master the evolving cyber skills:
Extend your intelligence by connecting with everyone and utilizing all aspects of the internet.

Surround yourself with people who are eagerly evolving:
They spark you and you spark them. Evolution occurs naturally.

Stop resisting:
Assimilate events the first time they occur. Synchronicity doesn’t occur very often when you are fighting flow.

Choose a goal or vision that is bigger than you are:
Be pulled forward by it instead of pushing yourself.

Get over yourself in every possible way:
Release the cultural, mimetic, and ego binds that keep you who you’ve been.

Get to know every element of who you are and how you operate:
This process of discovery and integration provides you with the awareness you need to handle whatever comes up in life so that you don’t get waylaid by it.

Take your gifts very, very seriously – be grateful for them:
Design your life to fully develop and express them. God given gifts and talents are the levers of evolution.

Emotionally heal, completely:
Healing maximizes your emotional IQ and increases the rate at which you learn.

Follow your whims:
Whims are messages; develop the skill to read them.

Enjoy learning more than teaching:
Make what you don’t know more interesting than what you do know.
